Please read the entire post & the comments first & create a system restore point before making any changes to your system. Because certain programs do not work without Java. This is usually fixed by deleting all versions of Java from your machine & then installing the lastest version. Windows still do not recognize the installed Java.

Sorry for the inconvenience while we transition to Vertiv. That corrected the problem for me. Both had the same problem with Internet Explorer 11. After installing java and wasting 2hours trying to get java working with IE11, I went back to oracles site...paid a bit more attention to that warning!!
