Please.. There were a bunch more updates but all of them went successfully.In the end all of the updates were succssfull and this computer seems to be working great. We've even tried putting recsue discs in and changing the setting to boot from cd rom but are getting the same message regardless. Not to mention, I was getting tired of three and four-minute powerdowns and startups.

Another option to explore, if the options above did not work, that I do not see in the article, is the option of running a “System File Check”.  If none of It cannot hurt to add the surface scan option as well, but it takes longer.
